about
I wrote this lullaby almost 10 years ago to the day (April, 22, 2010), someone recently reminded me that it existed once, but had vanished from the internet. My voice isn't as strong or flexible as it is today, the music is pretty scrappy, the words pretty simple, but I was proud of it when I made it, and I am still proud of it now.
The photo for the artwork was taken at the airport on March 13, 2020...just as America was shutting down, and everyone fleeing to their homes. There was a tension in the air, and this man seemed to be the physical embodiment of what was, and on all of our minds.
I wrote this for my friend to sing to his kids, I hope it helps you sleep a little easier.

LYRICS:
I know the world seems like it's cross-eyed
And the stars they seem so lonely
And all your plans have gone awry
And your hearts broken
But the Moon is bright in your eyes
And the trees are dancing slowly
So, hold me tight, it'll be alright come morning
I know its almost, too much to handle,
when all the world's soaked in the night
But, I promise you darlin, no matter how dark it can get,
by morning the sun will shine bright.
Though the world seems like its cross-eyed
And the stars they seem so lonely
And all your plans have gone awry
And your hearts broken
The Moon is bright in your eyes
And the trees are dancing slowly
So, hold me tight, it'll be alright come morning.
